Ps3 3.41 Hermes 4vb - GETTING ON PSN Problem
Ps3 3.41 Hermes 4vb - GETTING ON PSN Problem –
02-14-2011,12:58 AM
Hello,
I have been googling, researching the psx-scene forums, and I just need a little leg up so I can get this PSN bypass everyone has successfully attempted.
I found out that AbestosOS was specifically made for 3.55 CFW, but you need that, so I have two other options, "Freeflash" or "Aljendro" or something. If someone could, upload or paste in the link for preferably the latest version that best suits this situation. (And can someone clarify of any bricking problems that may be associated with it, yes or no.)
Basically I want to follow the http://psx-scene.com/forums/f118/%5B...-3-55-a-80532/ GUIDE, but each guide has "3.55" but I believe this can also work on 3.41, so if anyone is willing to give me the latest files or just the program, that would be awesome.
I have:
- Hermes 4vb
- PHAT PAL PS3 80 GB model
- Obviously running 3.41
- Newest MultiMan 1.5 I believe (does that I mean I need to install LV2 Fix (v6) pkg still ? )
Thankyou soo much.

See if this FreeFlash works for you. Tried to install it first and it didn't let me. So I downloaded the one that says 3.55 and it worked. Maybe this is the 3.41 version? Test it and let me know.

I've done it with FreeFlash for 3.41 an changed all the settings in Charles an in the ps3-updatelist.txt but it always says that I have to update my system.
I see in Charles and PS3DNS that the requests are correct and that the header has been changed but it doesn't work. I don't know what to do. Can someone help me please?
I did it like in the tutorial at http://psx-scene.com/forums/f118/%5B...ne-no-vm-80565

This guide is also good; http://psx-scene.com/forums/f118/%5B...-3-55-a-80532/ <-- make sure you replace UK or EU or AU with the region your in where you need to, people forget to do that.
Also at Ayes, will installing Freeflash brick my console ?

@jamiez
It seems to be ok for me. Have a look at the pictures. Do you recognize a mistake?
Here is my ps3updatelist.txt:
# EU
Dest=85;CompatibleVersion=0000bc25-;
Dest=85;CompatibleSystemSoftwareVersion=3.4100-;
Dest=85;ImageVersion=0000bc76;SystemSoftwareVersio n=3.5600;CDN=http://deu01.ps3.update.playstation.net/update/ps3/image/eu/2011_0127_6e070c96e0464e993aaf9deac3660863/PS3UPDAT.PUP;CDN_Timeout=30;
P.S. FreeFlash will not brick your console. I've done it with FreeFlash, too!

Atm I am helping my cousin go through the steps VERY carefully, so hopefully 2 minds can crack this in one go and get it working, if it does I will report back and hopefully help you.

I think it doesn't work with 3.41 but I don't know why. Perhaps the ps3updatelist.txt has to be changed. But all the things I've tried are not working. I'll wait for your feedback and if it doesn't work for you too then I update to 3.55

I actually think you HAVE to update and change the list to suit you rPS3 and Region your living in.
