New Netflix solution. –
Step 1 stuff you will need.
Playon mediaserver (14 day trial)
A computer with at least 2gb of ram and 10gb+ free space
A copy of windows xp (least resource consumption)
Windows mediaplayer 11 for windows xp.
vmware 7 or another virtual machine.
Latest Flash player for firefox/internet explorer
framework 2.0 and framework 2.0 sp1 (on windows xp)
A fast internet connection
Once you've got that, install windows xp on the VM, playon requires minimum 512 ram and 5gb hard drive space free after windows install. (I gave it access to 2 out of 4 cores, and 1gb out of 4gb ram 10gb space, running windows 7 ultimate as main os)
Step 3: Once windows xp is installed and loaded, disable automatic updates, DO NOT run playon yet!!! Install the framework and the sp1 patch for it, flash player, media player 11, and for network options on the virtual machine, set it to bridge connections with your PC. Allow the VM and playon through both sets of firewalls if needed.
Step 4: Most important here, BEFORE you run playon. Now that your new VM PC is ready for it, go to the VM options tab and take a snapshot while windows is loaded. Then install playon. This way when trial runs out, you can reload the snapshot and reinstall it every time, without reinstalling windows and formatting all the time. This will allow you to evaluate the software as long as you like before purchasing! This also enables hulu, and numerous other tv stations.
Edit: for those having problems getting mediaplayer 11 working, find the redistributable exe named wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe and install it with internet turned off, hit validate and wait a bit, it will bypass it and work anyway. Playon won't work without wmp 11. I also recommend NOT using playon to stream content from your PC hard drive, I suggest ps3 mediaserver for that instead, much faster, efficient, and it doesn't transcode "everything" most avi files will just play on the ps3 normally... I know it sounds crazy running 2 mediaservers and loading a virtual pc, but sony locked us out. Enjoy!

Thanks for the solution...at first glance it's more or less a Playon solution correct?
I personally have no problem paying 4 bucks a month, hell why not, pay more than that at Mcdonalds or Redbox in a day...
I just have an issue with its graphical interface, they need to do something with that...
But, there is a solution for netflix using rebug, no idea why it was moved from online to the jailbreak forum...
Just wanted to say great tutorial. If I used Netflix I would definitely be giving this a try.

Scourge of the litter-box
why do u need a vm, just downloaded it, using it on all the devices listed, very awesome and happy to watch netflix and hulu on my android and ps3 again
I posted this because cfw users cannot access netflix and I didn't want to install a new firmware just for that. But yeah it should stream hulu and everything else to your xbox360 or whatever system you have.
Because after your 14 day trial is up you have to "pay" for the program, thats why the VM is needed.

I've been using playon for quite some time, it definately kicks ass for CFW users complaining about netflix never working.
oh ok i c,just might buy it since its so good
