i'm using gaia 2.07 , after loading games game.dat , patch.dat & boot_history.dat all are reset 2 default and gain write access again
i'm using openftp 1.4
the files always revert back to their default read/write state after using either gaia manager or multiman
i'm using latest versions of both , openps3ftp v1.4 latest & modified clear history to 0 in options.ini 4 multiman
any help ?
I just wanted to point out somthing...When you copy over the game.dat and open it in the hexeditor you will see the game code for every game you've run on the ps3. These files only store the game once, so if you have 6 games,it will only show that 6 games.
Second, with the game.dat file i noticed that if you open it in notepad, it shows the txt in chinese. If you try to create this file from scratch, it will always appear english. I just copied the game.dat file over to the pc and then opened it with hex editor and actually edited that game.dat file. After i edited it i opened it with notepad and it maintained the chinese font. IDK in the hex editor they look no different but obviously there is
What i did was clear the logs and then went to multiman and loaded up a bunch of games FROM MY REGION...
And then i copied the logs over to my pc and edited out the multiman and openps3ftp entries from the logs in a hex editor, saved them and then copied them back and then changed the attrib to read only......all is good:)
i have the seem as the_gr81, although only have multiman( clear log = 0)
created nice clear files
make them readonly with openftp
it worked fine al night, reboot etc..
just checked it again and files are back to rw-rw-rw
thx for the tip on hex edit :), i was using ultraedit to check the files but couln't edit there..
it could be blackb0x tho reverting the settings? i can't remember running else... or multiman? there are 2 options.ini, the default_options.ini is set to 0 that's enough right?
so atleast check once in awhile or ur snesemu etc are on it again.
a nice clean list with all games is better then clear list i guess, cuse it never can be empty
I don't think it's the default_options.ini you need to modify, it's the other one. Though I ain't sure, I just modified the default_options.ini on my PC and copied it on USB stick, plugged it in PS3 and then started MultiMan. MultiMan copies default_options.ini from removable devices automatically if it is there and applies the settings.
edit ini file on usb stick and reinstall multiman from same stick? i keep the ini file on the stick so every time i upgrade i just copy the multiman pkg to the stick and install overtop. easy editing too.... LOL u too???;)
