They can thanks to their TOS Legally destroy our playstations and then take money from us to "Repair it". Their TOS remind me of Second world war Germany when they legally confiscated anything belonging to a jewish citizen. I Laughed my as of, only a morron could agree to that or a person that didn't read it.
People they can legally brick your machines no matter if you did anything wrong or not.
What if they update your system and you not knowing it disconnects it from the power outlet?
I am quite sure you wil either need to buy another unit so Sony makes more money or send it to them for "repairs" so Sony makes even more money.
They take away your rights over your property 100% when you agree to that TOS.
They have a fu....ing trojan in 3.56 so they can spy on you or anything, make any changes even breaking it.
With the 360's you can atleast have 2 machines one modded and one not for LIVE.
PS 3 is a offline machine for now, the only reason people agreed to the TOS is because they are tired of reading after the first page and the really juicy things comes in the end.
The King is dead long live the king.....
stealing my neighbors Console ID INC!!!
seriously, if you change a few numbers, shouldn't you become kinda "banproof" ? i don't think, sony'll ban a few dozen ID's, if you keep changing. Could hit the wrong Guys.
Anyway, why should they ban the Console, the Account is what matters
PlayStationŽNetwork with your pc and you can create a new one)

Court Rejects Online Terms Of Service That Reserve The Right To Change At Any Time | Techdirt is where it say "the entire terms of service are void if they claim they can be changed at any time."

Can anyone asist me with this?
Having problems with step 3.
When I get to that file im faced with this.Quote:
Now we need to edit our hosts file to prevent Sony from updating your console.
Browse to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\
lmhost.sam, networks, protocol, services, host.
If I enter host it tels me this is only a sample HOSTS file.
Where do I need to be to alter this?
And then edit it to add the following line at the end:
REGION beeing the region you're connecting to (eu, uk, us, mx, au ).
So if your ip is 192.168.0.179 and connecting to European servers, it will looks like this:
Thanks for any help.
okay Blu, hold on tight, this is going to be extremely difficult and for experienced Programmers only.
1. open host with your text editor
2. insert XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX f*01.update.playstation.net
replace the XXX stuff with your own IP and the * with your region
3. save the changes in the file
and NO i didn't rewrite the stuff you quoted in your post..... did i?
Why dont you use dummy ids?
