Has anyone actually got banned?

I havent been online on my cfw 3.55 console since 3.56 came out. I did get the email though.

My buddy whom's never jailbroken and owns two consoles did not get the email. Although, his second console stays at my house so I can play online, and I've been signing in my PSN daily on that legit 3.56 console and I'm not banned yet.

I do imagine though if I used the fckpsn method I'd probably get banned. Obviously they know who's been modded at one time and who's not been.

What I'm wondering is for those whom are getting banned, if they were the same that continued to always use the latest DNS/bypass method to get on PSN from a lower firmware version. That would be my assumption.

People who never even went on psn with their hacked consoles also got the e-mail.

Two systems - One on Waninkoko v1 and one on 3.41 with jailbreak. Both systems have been online - both have been connected to the internet and received ads from Sony. Both have had their web browser opened and used for about an hour or so... I do not own any multiplayer games (except Demons Souls - which is played in Offline mode - but it made an attempt to go online, than gave an error).

I did not receive the email. I have not plugged either PS3 into the internet in about a week. Upon hearing about the news of people getting emails and the impending BanHammer - Ive chosen not to connect it up online. While I have no intention of playing games online with my CFW / Jailbroken systems, I imagine that the system being banned will either impact selling price, or limit future options (in the off chance at some point I may want to go online - nice to have the option...).

Since I have two "hacked" PS3s and did not receive the email - I wonder what specific action people are doing to get flagged in the S0ny database as running a hacked system? Perhaps its playing a specific game (or any game) or if its using the PSN store? Would be

tl;dr - Two PS3s, One Waninkoko, One Jailbreak - No Ban Email. Why? -- Any speculation?

i recived the email but not banned yet
may be it's just a warning to make the rats run to their holes and update
or may be they are serious and sony giving us 1 week to go legit or ban us all

but 99% of us will not give away our cfw for psn
so if i were sony i 'ld have taken advantage of them instade of banning them
i 'ld have made a paid serves that allow the psn accunt to connect on lower firmware
at lest 1 milion user will pay for that and that Guarantee a free 50 milion every year just from nothing

if sony is afraid of cheaters they can ban them
if they are afraid of piracy at least peaple on 3.56 (98% of ps3 users) will support the industry and they can't get back to 3.55

but peaple at sony's HQ are bretty stupied since the removal of other os

The ps3 is still the only console I know of that takes features away in each update.

Yes "You cant sign in with this account something like that + error code i dont remember the code.

I still think Sony won't ban anyone except cheaters and people who aren't civil

Won't ban? Well my console is.. Im using PSN fack v0.5 by dritzz + using PSN account registered on AU but im not from AU

Well, I'm going to try an experiment. I'm putting myself at risk I suppose, but I went ahead and went back to OFW, and we'll see what happens. I even went ahead and bought some content off from the store.

If I get banned after following the advice in the e-mail, then everyone will know to stick to CFW. Consider me the sacrificial lamb.

At any rate, I'm still planning to get a second PS3 to use for homebrew at some point...

Lol don't be the lamb my friend, spare me the unbanned console psid instead heh . I'm part of the group of people who got banned and i think i know why we got banned. Currently awaiting some information before i confirm my theory.

Lol I got banned, got message banned right away no warning, an old coworker of mine aswell and he wasnt even online for a week.
