dns error 80710104 on 3.60
dns error 80710104 on 3.60 –
04-02-2011,08:05 PM
Hi guys, i recently updated from kmeaw 3.55 to ofw 3.60 so i can play online. But, things didn't go exactly as i expected.
Here's exactly what i did: - From ofw 3.55 i went to KMEAW 3.55
- While on KMEAW, i edited the ca24.cer so i could play online with charles
- I then started using the 3.60 spoofer
- After the spoofer got blocked, i tried out the rebug cfw, and i went online with the sp-int (dev servers)
- Then i deleted all my homebrew, and used the wipe history application
- then i went back to ofw 3.55
- Finally, i updated to 3.60 ofw
- *BAM* Got hit with dns error 80710104
I tried all the solutions i could find on the internet.
I tried resetting my router, used random dns' i found on forums, yet nothing worked.
I'm worried not restoring the ca24.cer before updating might have screwed me up.
PLEASE HELP

Try restoring factory defaults from recovery.

Reset the Wireless modem and go to Network settings and configure the internet again.

What do you mean by recovery? How about from xmb?

To restore rom recovery:
Turn off power
Once console is powered down,
Hold finger on power button
Wait till you hear two beeps and let go of power button
Should now be in recovery mode.
Connect controller with cable to use......
Restore factory defaults.
Done

will restoring to factory defaults delete my existing user accounts? Or my psn details that are saved?

far as I know of reseting factory defaults will not format your drive but if after you do that and if it does not still work your ps3 may have been ban.
I could be wrong but if you reset you modem, router and ps3 thats the only thing i myself could think of that happened. unless your ps3 internet settings are set wrong.

You don't get dns errors if your console is banned, just a flat out "you've been kicked off of playstation network" message.
