I apologize if I've posted this in the wrong section.... Well I've replaced the CA24.cer from my ps3 with the charles program by an accident without backing up the original one. Is there a way I can recover that by restoring my firmware? Please let me know guys! .

You guys are silly. The CA24.cer file is specific to your region. Grabbing one from another region probably won't allow you to sign back in to the PSN servers if it isn't from the right region.

The certificate has nothing to do with the region...

You sure? I figured the authentic cert would be region specific.

    Errr....

pretty sure it doesn't matter at all anyway, as the original CA24 is supposed to be expired!

The only reason to put it back would be to restore the machine to it's original state, in which case you're going to be reflashing with OFW anyway...

Yeah, the original 24 expired in february 2006, which is strange because the ps3 wasn't released until later that year. Most odd...

Anyway, you're no worse off without it.
