Besides, Xlink has been going for a good while and they aren't stepping on anybody's toes, I'd imagine Sony and MS are happy people can bugger off somewhere else! I do think PSN is ruined with the amount of cheating going on, which honest customers shouldn't have to put up with (nobody should, unless it's a private server). For example, I wanna update one of my many machines to 3.56 and stay legit, but I'm not rushing into it because you can have 3.56 with the patch sitting on your HDD working away, still ruining games. The new MW2 patch might put dampner on this, at least for a short while and Treyarch seem to be on top of it too.
holly ish man i saw your sig at the bottom and i seriously just spit my cheery coke all over my keyboard from laughing

Now they have huge leverage. Go clean or bye bye online gaming and guess what. Sony won't be happy if you CAN play online on its console without permition.
There's a small chance sony won't even care because they're servers are super cool and private servers are shitty and have very few people so it MAY go under the radar. Again wouldn't bet on it... So let's go back to time/value and think about that..

Console is actually our property,so we can do anything we want to do,PSN is property of SONY so,if we not using their service, its not their business.

To th ppl who wanna use ftp w/o connecting ps3 2 the internet u can either
- block the ip from accessing the internet u can do that from ur router options
-connecting ps3 to pc via a lan cable method below
PC TO PS3 DIRECT CABLE CONNECTION
Go to “Control Panel” and under “Network and Internet” click “View
network status and tasks” To open “Network and Sharing Center“. On the
left side panel, click “Change adapter settings“. Identify which device
is the LAN port you will be using, right click on it and select
“properties”. Click on the item “Internet Protocol Version 4
(TCP/IPv4)” then click the button “Properties“. Click “Use the
following IP address:” and “Use the following DNS server
ip : 10.1.1.1
dns: 255.255.255.0
default g8:10.1.1.1
dns1:10.1.1.0
dns2:10.1.1.100
Step 2:PS3 Setup
Go to the settings tab on the XMB, then select “Network Settings”
followed by “Internet Connection Settings“. Push ok on the prompt and
select “Custom“, “Wired Connection“, “Auto-Detect” then “Manual“. Fill
out the form as follows.
IP Address 10.1.1.2
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Defualt Router 10.1.1.0
Primary DNS 10.1.1.0
Secondary DNS 10.1.1.10
Select “Automatic“, “Do Not Use” and “Enable“. Push X to save the
settings. Test connection to verify you can acquire an IP Address.
Internet Connection should fail.
Open your FTP Sever on your PS3. I prefer BlackB0x FTP 1.2 (download
here), but you can use MultiMAN or other types if you wish. It should
tell you your IP Address is 10.1.1.2 .
Step 3: FTP Client Setup
Open your FTP client (anyone will do, eg SmartFTP or FileZilla) and
type in your PS3 IP (10.1.1.2) and make sure its on Port 21. IF you
used a FTP server other than BlackB0x FTP 1.2, check if it needs
credentials to work. Connect and begin transferring.

"In the First value box, put your ID and in the Replace value box , put another ID of other PS3."
You still need unique ID for this...

I honestly believe that once we are banned we should not try and bypass it. We have everything we want. You can't have a hacked PS3 and PSN at the same time. I think people are gonna start moving over to that edge of the grey line before they go into real hacking and get screwed.

This thread has kinda strayed away from what I was first talking about...
I was just trying to find a way to keep our UNBANNED (offline) PS3s unbanned so that in the future if we decide to go to OFW, or sell it, we can guarantee it will still be unbanned.
So for now I'm just keeping it disconnected from my network.
