My memory is a bit fuzzy about the following things, so what I'm about to write may not be 100% accurate.

Some time ago I upgraded my ps3 slim hdd from a 120GB to a 500GB one. I had backed up my act.dat(s) and made sure to download and backup the pkg's of my favourite psn games Marvel Pinball and Zen Pinball + a couple of dlc tables (unfortunately only 4 of them).

After the hdd upgrade I needed to get my games to run again. At first I just copied my act.dat files (yeah, I have more than one) back to where they belong and could run the games just fine. Since they were wiped on reboot, this got tedious pretty quick however so I turned to the Team Rebug xReg Plus app. Unfortunately it only handles one act.dat at the time so I don't consider it a permanent solution in my case.

I could mix some things up but iirc, I tried to resign the EBOOT.BIN's from these 2 games making smth like:

    # elf_builder -debug EBOOT.BIN eboot.elf
    # make_self_npdrm.exe eboot.elf EBOOT.BIN EP4042-NPEB00099_00-ZENPINBALL000001

If my memory serves me right, I actually got both games to run without needing the act.dat (but that's another story, you could play around with this if you're interested). This trick didn't work with the DLC tables however (edat protection).

I kept trying stuff, and ended up uninstalling both games entirely, including the dlc's, and went to Playstation Store through sp-int server. This was blank ofcourse but I could search for specific titles and they would show up. Anyway, I created a virtual CC through a service my bank offers and (re)bought both games and the 4 dlc's this way, but I couldn't download them! Since I had the pkg's for the 2 games + 4 dlc tables backuped, I installed these and tried to launch them again with no success so I went back to Playstation Store and reactivated them.

So this means that if you have the original pkg file to stuff from Playstation Store, you can use Rebug v3.55.1 with sp-int to buy them after installing!

I hope this will be of help to someone, and I hope to hear more success stories regarding this in the future.

(and it would be great if someone would present links to Zen Pinball Sorcerer's Lair table and Marvel Pinball Fantastic Four table so that I could buy them this way )
