No mate i had a game online the other day, and as soon as the match finished i got that error and still have.. i'm thinking it's a server ban because i had the same problem with the first game as well and i still can't play that one.

nah, they are making another patch, cuz with 1.02 atm people got a lot of freeze during game launch (for example just after Dolby logo) if they are connected to psn...

btw just wait and see.... i did a match, and is really better then MW3..

hahaha i wana play to, but they are making a patch, if your BO 2 hangs during boot just log out of psn and start the game, the bug is fuc*k*t freezez the ps3 haha

The problem is NOT the servers! It the the CFW activision have found a way how to block cfw users from accessing the servers

I know this because I had the duplex release which gave the server error and I have just got the legit disc and if you attempt it on the cfw it is the same server error but it has been confirmed (not by me yet) that if you update to OFW that the game works!
Also the users of cfw and bo2 the 1.02 update seems different to the OFW users as on the screen when you connect the numbers in the corner are different

So the theory is activision detect cfw and when you update the game it downloads a modified update to block multiplayer access

I am just installing OFW to see if I personally can log into multiplayer with legit disc and if I can it sort of confirms the theory

Also I has spoken directly to activision who say they have not sent out any bans as of yet

I'm pretty sure noone is banned. It's reported all over the cod forums about freezing and servers unavailable from many people.

Also one CFW user said by having the game in the internal Hdd everything would work. I just tested this method and I haven't froze while logged into PSN but still cannot connect as servers unavailable. This is really just normal to almost every new game out there. Likely due to server loads from a shit ton of people all over the world. Just wait patiently and it will all be resolved.
