I haven't set it up yet but I would assume use a proxy then use peerblock and set up a custom block list. I think that would be the easiest.

They've already banned all Jailbroken PS3s from PSN since FW 3.42 ...
i think the hackers should make a hombrew package which disable sending these files to sony or by sending a fake files to sony saying a list of games had been played not the hombrew + the hombrew should have the feature to re-enable the real connection to sony and if it didn't have this feature i assume we need to update the system again with 3.41 to re-enable it![]()
somebody with a sniffer hex edit the pushlist files both.dat and get rid of the bad things adn see if anything extra is uploaded besided wats in theose lists that discribe your habits
This is true. I am thinking of the future when there is a possibility to get online with a Jailbroken system. The only way I see around this would be to delete all traces of Backup Manager (or any variation) from the pushlist and registry EVERY time before you went online. Then you would use an original disc to play online.
You could probably code an app that would look for certain strings and replace them on the fly. I'm not sure how feasable it would be, but I bet it is possible.
does this use the internet setting specified in the menu? so if for example i set some bogus gateway and proxy there, it won´t even get to those domains?
isn't forcing a update a violation of some form of rights surely?
lol isent sony just making users afraid of updating and find out they are banded any way haha. if i deside to not jailbreak and just wanna be legal online psn user again the i wont if i know i would get banned..hmm
People, actually I'll block all *playstation* address using my home proxy (SQUID)... This to avoid my kids to accidentally update the PS3....
Now I want to put in whitelist the server for updating gamez... Did someone know the address ??
