IMPORTANT!!! MANY PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING "PROBLEMS" TO THEIR COMPLETE FAULT AND MISUNDERSTANDING. FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS:

1. Download the latest version attached here, PSN Update Bypass v0.2.2.rar.
2. Run PSN Update Bypass.exe.
3. Press 'Guide' and follow all of the steps.
4. Press "Install Files"
5. Press "Validate Installation" to ensure you've installed correctly. Also, make sure that you've set the correct region (i.e. "US") and your operating system (Windows XP or Windows 7).
6. If Validate Installation has an error, press it again. A new ps3-updatelist.txt file will be created AUTOMATICALLY based on your region settings... so you DO NOT need to manually modify it as there is no need.

WORKS WITH KMEAW CFW 3.55

I designed this application for the technically-challenged, or those not fully knowledgeable with computers. Using eth0's method, I created my own tutorial which makes it easier for the end user to bypass PSN with a step-by-step tutorial.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Q: I get an error when writing to 'ps3-updatelist.txt'
A: If you're running on Windows 7 or Windows Vista, try to run the application as Administrator.
2. Q: I can't play online on Gran Turismo 5 and SOCOM (etc.)!
A: Some games just don't work online. I think that that is because PSN denies people on 3.55 to connect (?) though I'm not certain.

I've included the CA24 certificate that you use to replace on your PS3. If any problems arise, let me know.

If you want to log back on, you have to turn on Charles, then turn on PS3DNS, then you can turn off Charles, but you MUST leave PS3DNS running while you're on PSN.

I get an error message when I click on install files.

"Error trying to copy 'charles.config' to Charles application data.

Are you running Windows XP or Windows 7?

Copy it as Administrator.

Then you would manually have to put 'charles.config' into C:Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Charles

I'll update the app to detect XP or Win7. It won't support x64 fully though.
