[Guide] How to really prevent your consoleid from being banned if you don't care for PSN

This is for those that don't care for PSN access but want to have internet on their ps3. Make a brand new account if you're really paranoid thinking your current one is flagged.

Download PSIDpatch 1.6 and install it first.

1. Turn on ps3
2. Run PSIDpatch
3. Randomize PSID and consoleid
4. Do your dirty deeds
5. Disable internet before turning off (this is to prevent ps3 from contacting Fony when you turn it on again before spoofing)
6. Turn off
7. RINSE and REPEAT step 1-6

If you don't care for PSN then why bother, so what if your account gets flagged....?

AFAIK PS3 sends the pushlist out at periodic intervals, not only at boot time.

Besides, it's safer to just have the pushlists completely empty and read-only than to just hope your PS3 doesn't send the list out.

Also, there are better ways of making keeping Internet access while preventing PS3 from contacting Sony servers, like for example using your PC as a proxy and blocking connections auth.np.ac.playstation.net and f*01.ps3.update.playstation.net, or if your router has filtering capabilities then set it to block connections to Sony servers. Much more reliable.

That's something nice! How can i empty my pushlists and set them to read-only?

I'm still not following, someone enlighten me.....

If you couldn't care less about not using PSN then what's the point, who cares if everything gets pushed to Sony, or are you afraid of something else they might do other than ban you from PSN ?

What if in a year or so a game comes out that makes you want to play it online. but u didnt care and got ur ps3 banned. not all people can afford 2 ps3s, iv block my ps3 from the internet just because of that situation. at the moment i dont care for any current games online. but it wud suck if a game were to come out that was amazing to play online and i cudnt.

just ftp to yer ps3 and make the lists read only, theres a tutorial floating about here for it. Make sure you set your back up manager not to clear the files as it will remove read only.

if you can't afford another ps3 for "legit" online play then you shouldn't of bothered to mod your ps3 or even think about playing online. Be realistically here..with all the games you probably have bootlegged, you probably could have bought a couple of ps3's..

How do i view my own Console ID ? Is it shown with System Information ?
