yakuza 4 backup not working on 3.55?

I'm using the latest multiman and yes I have a disc in it when I load it from MM.

After these steps, you need to go to the XMB, and select the Disc or "*AppHome/Game" Folder.

The games do not launch directly from MM, all that does is tell the system which game to load when you select the Disc or Folder.

Yours doing a direct launch from MM? As that wont work, you need to go back and launch the disc to boot.

a simple reflash to ofw then back to cfw and it works fine now! I shoulda thought of that sooner. Works fine now thanks for the replies!

I'm having exactly the same problem with the NTSC copy of Yakuza 4. I even did a fresh install of KMEAW 3.55 and still the same thing as OP.

Game launches fine. then you see the yakuza 4 logo loading. then black screen and reboot to xmb. All my other ps3 games work and yes Im selecting the disc not direct boot.

i got it working on mine, it's sitting on my external USB hard drive and I used gaia manager and make sure to start it with a disc inside.

it will kick you back to home screen, choose the disc under the "games" option and it should show yakuza 4, start it from there and it will install and then work!
