I have installed Wutangrza's CFW 2 times, checked MD5, came from OFW 3.55, alway's the same issue. the *app_home folder in the XMB is missing neither Rogero signed for 3.55 or Multiman 12.05 is working. I drop back to XMB from the Backupmanagers without having the BlueRay icon remounted with my Backup and without showing the app_home icon. Anybody able to help, i am definitly stuck here. Wasted already 6 hours on solving this issue and no luck.
Backup managers do not work at present.
really? its stated in all the threads that Wutangrza's CFW doesnt have that or install pkgs....hence the adding Geohots patch after....Quote:

1. app_home/PS3_GAME is not installed with any of the CFW's. Geohot's patch adds back Install Packages and nothing else.
2. Yes, only in Wutangrza's. All BM's will run in Wutangrza's, but they won't load backups (unless you're playing with Deank's experimental automatic eboot patching version, which works just like modding eboot's and creating packages for Geohot 3.55 MFW)
hmm, not sure about this chesh. Waninkoko's CFW has the app_home to launch games...
Just testing this tool on Waninkoko's FW, works smart with Marvel Super Hero Squad.
Nevertheless, it looks like Wutangrza's CFW does not have the app_home on my PS3. Is that correct or does that point to a mistake i made in flashing this CFW.

As I have only 256MB NAND PS3's, I haven't tried Waninkoko's firmware. I also haven't updated to Fluke's (Wutangrza's) CFW, as I prefer my 3.41 JB just the way it is. My other console is 3.55, and I don't want to risk a ban on it. But, the app_home/PS3_GAME is just a dev option that's normally hidden. I'm sure if you wanted to, you could rename the appropriate .XML file via FTP in Wutangrza's (Fluke's) firmware and get the option back, or possibly the next release will have it done by default.

I did the Wutangrza's CFW, then GeoHot and then I got the released LV2 patcher that you have to run before the backups.....and I'm missing App_Home, but its working iwht a game inside, just put any game on the PS3 and load the backup, the backup will replace the disk. Temporary solution I guess....until we can add App_Home with a PKG or something.
It may have been released after you posted that but, Kmeaw's CFW now adds "app_home/PS3_GAME" and "Install Packages" to the XMB without the need to install Geohot's jailbreak and as a bonus you don't need to sign your .pkgs.Quote:
