Hey guys,
I'm thinking of getting a PS3 today but need you thoughts. Mine will come with 3.55 so I will be able to install a CFW. But what happens when games start requiering 3.57 or greater, will I still be able to install a CFW of the newer firmware on top of a already jailbroken CFW! Or will I have to stay on 3.55 until they find a new exploit?
Thank you alot in advance
Adrian

Well one thing to understand is that we arent using an exploit, we have the keys to sign our own code, if sony changes those we should be able to find the new ones. It has been stated that this can't be patched out with software only hardware, and even then there are supposedly some ways to circumvent it using additional hardware.
So we SHOULD be able to patch any firmware that sony throws our way but right now the game is changing with the brutal attack on the scene and sony will likely issue some sort of hidden checks and security measures to make the process as slow as possible each time, so how long that will take for every update i can't say, but i can say that there is no reason that every firmware update can't be broken.
So in summary: Yes there probably (almost 100% sure) will be a way to install new CFW on each new update just don't think it's gonna take 10 minutes every time for a new CFW to come out, it might take weeks even months each time (especially right now), who knows.
We have to wait and see how the ball rolls out in order to be able to estimate that further.
