Since last versions of multiman I've got an issue when i'm moving game from my intern hdd to my extern one it doesn't give me back the same free space... example : I have 4 gb left on my intern then I move a game of 22gigs to my extern, and after that it tells me that I have 8 gb free in total.. and the game is not on the hdd anymore, I've done that several times and now with only 20gigs of games on my HDD it shows me that I have only 8 gb left (out of 160gb) where is all the rest of the freespace?

If someone could help me thanks, and sorry If the subject has already been treated I couldn't find it.

    thank you

How did you move the game from an internal hdd to an external hdd ??

Have you deleted the game on your internal after you transfered it to the external ??
    Tutorial for multiMAN: (All Versions)
    1. Start multiMAN (Dont need LV2 anymore)
    2. Choose your desired game on multiMAN.
    3. Mount the game with a click on X.
    4. Say NO to a start without going to XMB.
    5. Now you are on XMB. Click the disk/game icon and have fun.

This along with other similar memory problems is common, and currently no fix . (not even sure if full format does the trick).

I have the same problem in that for some reason my hdd seems to go down to 2gb, but if I install a 10gb game (like GTA4) it installs fine, but afterwards multiman and system settings show 0gb and less than 500mb sign comes up. After deleting 10gb I still only get 2gb back!

I moved it with the buildin filemanager in multiman since comegenie isn't working properly on CFW 3.55 Kweam for me.
So it is just the "counter" that shows wrong freespace then? I admit I never tried to copy more game to see if it fits.

Try booting into recovery and run the Database rebuild option. That will usually get your free space to show right again.

When I went to recovery mode to do the rebuild thing it said that it will erase all the data present on the HDD, is it true and if so there is no other way to recover the lost memory?

Don't want to mislead anyone but I have tried to solve this issue through recovery mode selecting both rebuild database and files and neither helped.

The only way I was able to recover space was to delete the game using exactly the same payload and manager I used to install the game in the first place.

And no, rebuilding the database does not delete any games but it may cause issues with games and peripherals (like wheels), not being detected afterwards.

    My two cents..

So even if you completely wipe your drive free, re-install fw etc. You can never claim your space back?!
