Whats best external to get for a phat?

I'm looking to buy an external but obviously needs to be FAt32, should it be own power supply, pref not but will the phat handle it?

Is there a size limit that it will see?

Anyone got any advice or a good one they currently run?

I have a 1tb western digital my passport and it works fine on slim and phat.

Probably arn't any threads discussing external hard drives.

well i did actually search but couldnt find info I was looking for.

UPDATE

I have WD my book essential 2TB, works perfectly!

Its a desktop but thats what I wanted, best to have a seperate psu as early usb dont have good power output hence why lots will work on PC but not PS3.

DSE 124 bux. bargain really

why bother with the hassle of an external. If you get the new Samsung m8 2.5" 9.5mm 1tb internal you have no problems with split files, no modding necessary as its a standard fit. Available now for about £80
