What is the debug update method?
What is the debug update method? –

I've seen lots of discussion on how some games will only work when eboot's are overwritten and debug updates are installed. Could someone please explain what steps you need to take, as I have a game (split second velocity) which requires firmware 3.21 or higher yet it still refuses to work with all manner of payloads and patch modes.
Seeing as it was released before the jailbreak was public, I doubt it will be as difficult as new releases to get working.
Could someone please summarize the procedure?

Read the: Tut: How to get Black Ops working on 3.41 thread. It explains the whole debug update method in the first post.

well maybe its the game that doesn't work, you don't need to replace anything, if it is supose to be playble on 3.41, maybe its a problematic game.
i have checked the compatibility list, the game just doesnt work as i have said.

I know it doesn't work, I'm racking my brains as to why it deosn't work. It has a different file structure from other games, namely a .PARAMS file and _BUILDID_. I just get a black screen after the game loads from XMB, similar to black ops without overwriting the eboot.bin etc.

it doesn't work that's it... the managers are not 100% compatble there are some games that don't work, this is one of the games, modern warfare doesn't work either for instance. its just like this you can't do anything.
