that statement was just stupid had to be said..
if it installed fine then there should be no problems.. even your precious kmeaws version causes freezes/locks up on xmb.. do you know why?
pl3 it's not a major issue anyways.. personally i haven't had any problems what so ever with wanikoko's even though it's also based on pl3

lol..

kmeaw for as i have 60gig orginal, i was lucky and waited so missed the mass 60gig bricks
160 GB Slim w/ Kmeaw + Gaia
u mad?
guess so.
although im no dev. i do know the differences and how the CFW's were patched. and since i know that, i made the educated decision to back kmeaw's firmware.
ill try to enlighten you.
check this out. Private Paste - Pastie
thats the changes in wanikoko's firmware. as you can see he changed a SUBSTANTIAL part of the lv2 binary. what he did was pretty much copy and paste the PL3 payload into the binary. this is an extremely wreckless way of going about this.
if you were to look in kmeaw's firmware, you would see that lv2 only has 2 BYTES that were changed. thats right. ONLY 2. lv1 also had a 1 byte change.
and with those patches he was able to make it so the backup managers do the payload work, that way everything is in ram and there is no possibility for a brick because once you shut down the ps3 the ram gets cleared and you are fine.
this is a MUCH safer way. instead of obnoxiously pasting PL3 into the binary, only 3 total bytes were changed in the binarys and the rest of the work in done it ram.
im not sure what is with the name calling, it seems pretty childish.![]()
