WHAT CFW ARE YOU USING? AND WHY
WHAT CFW ARE YOU USING? AND WHY –
Right Now im using Waninkoko on my SLIM with Rogero Stealth.. and its working flawless (ALL GAMES WORKING). It does freeze once in a while though..
I want to see which 1 is better, if i should switch to wuntangrza or Kmeaws.. please keep the poll alive and have a brief explanation and your experience, in terms of freezing and if games are working
um, with all the bricking and instability with waninkoko's i would get off of that as fast as i can.
i use kmeaws (which is basically wutangrza's and geohot's firmwares combined into one)
because it is the most stable and does minimal editing to kernel files (unlike wanikoko)
its like 3.41 with dongle payloads, but now we dont need donlges and its on 3.55
also game compatibility is theoritically the same as it was on 3.41
Does it Freeze ??

The first PS3 I kept was a slim. I was using PSGroove with a Palm Pre for that. Currently its sitting with an E3 dongle on 3.41, no custom firmware. All my backups were made on this system (with the Palm Pre PSgroove).
My second PS3 is a Fat model CECH-H (16MB NAND) with a 120GB laptop drive in it. It was on 3.15 (never downgraded - used linux for SNES / Genesis gaming) then I went to 3.55 then Waninkoko's. I'm pleased with Waninkoko firmware. My old backups that I made with the Palm Pre and the original backup manager work without needing to run random other things. Everything launches thru Rogero's. The firmware also works with the SNES and Genesis emulators (which was a must). No Permission fix package, no temp LV2 Flash package, none of that noise.
I've had thus far no experience with freezing or stuttering during playback of games. I've had no "instability" either. The system has been in use for about 10 hours of gameplay and 6 hours on XMB (just sitting on, not doing anything) since the flash.
Waninkoko's firmware only works on slim and 16MB NAND systems though, so if yours doesn't fit the bill, its not really a choice. Overall I'm satisfied with it, but YMMV.
kmeaw cause i dont wanna risk brick.
my gt5 still doesnt work, and some games that worked on 3.41 dont work now
while others have said it has i have not experienced one
