Upgrading internal HD... will it cause problems?

I have a launch 60gig that is busting at the seems, between mandatory installs and backups that ran internal only i am completely out of room.
I plan on upgrading to a bigger HD. Newegg.com - SAMSUNG Spinpoint MP4 HM250HJ 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
I know its not super big but i'm on a tight budget, plus it should be plenty big enough coupled with my external. It's completely worthless if i can keep doing backups though.
Any issues with upgrading internals and CFW? Internal only games? Anything special i need to do...or do i just use the PS3 backup to my external plug in the new internal format and go?
thanks

I installed a new HDD after already being on kmeow 3.55, i just copied the game saves, i re installed my other stuff because the backup the PS3 made didn't work and I got stuck in the recovery menu or whatever they called it. I ended up reinstalling the official 3.55fw then the 3.55CFW it was the only way to get out the menu.
Whatever you do just backup your game saves to somewhere regardless because that is all that really matters

Like he said, back up your saved games, I think thats all you can really do. As for any internal backups you may have, go to multiman and copy them to external so you dont lose em, then move em back after the swap. I think your gonna lose your trophies, I believe I did, I didnt care though. And consider going bigger than 250. That will fill up crazy fast with some games that only work internally. You can get a 500gb 2.5" internal drive for like $50 or maybe even less. Anything less than that in size and I feel you'll regret it in the future when you find yourself in this same boat, again.
