It absolutely won't, I'm afraid. Updates come with their own EBOOTs, which are read BEFORE your EBOOT mod - rendering it obsolete, just as it is when running games from the BD-ROM.
Standard rule of thumb (especially for 3.41) is that if you need an EBOOT mod; updates are out of the question.
thanks for the reply.
what about the "eboot fix/mod" included with multiman?
editing the new/updated eboot won't work?
actually most updates for games works, u just need to have a spoof because most updates says y need 3.5 FW or more.
example, i had dongle with 3.5 spoof, played MK9 fine with 1.01 update, changed to hermes 3.41, and update told me i need 3.5 or higher, so i ran the dongle with 3.55 spoof and i could play again.
still u can just try to update, and if it doesnt work, just delete it.
That's nonsense. You CANNOT play games of a higher FW requirement by using a spoof FW. It's not possible - period - as the spoof is only to change the APPEARANCE of the fw number so as to prevent unwelcome system updates.
There is no dongle with 3.5 either as dongles do not work on 3.5+ So you're talking about a 3.41 system firmware and, magically, you managed to run games that require 3.5+ because of a spoof? Rubbish. Proof please. What is more likely is that you're running MK9 with the 3.41 eboot fix and NO update installed, as the update requires 3.50. Next you'll be saying you run GT5 with all the updates on your 3.41 system, right?
Sadly no, because we can't edit the game update EBOOTs yet, due to their being encrypted.
thats because the game itself doesnt require that firmware, u mod the eboot and change the param, but the update still has a FW check that can be bypassed with a spoof, of course some updates may have a better security check and wont let u run the game, but then u can just play without them, so far theres no game i havent updated, appart from those 500mb+ updates i just dont feel like doing.
and yes i was speaking considering what u said about eboot mod, else u cant even run the game.
but i can play MK9 or any new game with updates with the dongle spoof and the modded eboot.
have u even tried it?, else my ps3 has magic
you know, he used GT5 as an example, it doesnt mean all games updates comes with FW 4.9 check.
