This is how to to add MOVE support to your RE5 GE in 5 easy steps (retail disc NOT required) :

    01- download the Debug update
    02- get this modified EBOOT.bin : EBOOT.BIN
03- boot PS3 in JB mode and install the debug update
04- replace the EBOOT.bin installed by the debug update (in dev_hdd0\game\XXXXXXXXX\USRDIR) with the modified one
    05- play the game ...

    Download Links :
    01- Resident Evil 5-Gold Edition BLUS30491 - Move support added and active - Modified Eboot.bin : EBOOT.BIN - US Retail update : UP0102-BLUS30491_00-PATCH005210A0105-A0101-V0100-PE.pkg - US Debug update : http://b0.ww.sp-int.dl.playstation.n...0101-V0100.pkg - EU Debug update : http://b0.ww.sp-int.dl.playstation.n...0101-V0100.pkg

The same method works with Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 as well :
    02- Pro Evolution Soccer 20011 BLES01022 - Title screen now shows V1.01 - Modified Eboot.bin : EBOOT.BIN -EU Retail update : http://b0.ww.np.dl.playstation.net/t...1-V0100-PE.pkg -EU Debug update : http://b0.ww.sp-int.dl.playstation.n...0101-V0100.pkg

The same method works also with Heavy Rain, you can have MOVE controls using the same method, this eboot.bin works was taken from the Jap debug update but it should work with all regions, just install the retail update for your region and use the modified eboot.bin
    03- Heavy Rain - Move support added and active - Modified Eboot.bin : EBOOT.BIN - Jap Debug update : http://b0.ww.prod-qa.dl.playstation....0200-V0100.pkg - Eur Retail update : http://b0.ww.np.dl.playstation.net/t...0-V0100-PE.pkg - Eur MOVE ED Retail update : http://b0.ww.np.dl.playstation.net/t...0-V0100-PE.pkg

The same method works also with Fifa 11 - Update : Career Mode fixed
    04- Fifa 11 - Modified files : Fifa11.zip - Eur Retail update : http://b0.ww.np.dl.playstation.net/t...1-V0100-PE.pkg

The same method works too with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
    05- Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 - Modified Eboot.bin : EBOOT.BIN - US Retail update : UP0325-BLUS30380_00-NGS2PATCHVER0100-A0101-V0100-PE.pkg

To install a retail update from XMB you should have the latest payload (HMV3 Mod by Waninkoko) , otherwise you'll have to use Demo Manager to do so ...

Credits : deltop for the major contribution, Jurai , and Derr for testing ...

Can we ask how you modified the eboot.bin and can it work for all games?

How about trying your system on 3.42 required games.

It only works where you can get hold of a debug update. ps3news has a database of links.

What your essentially doing is installing the update (retail or debug) then using a couple of sdk tools to get the debug executable (EBOOT.BIN) working on any ps3 (hard drive or disk). You can do this with debug builds since they aren't encrypted.

    Exact procedure here:
    http://psx-scene.com/forums/549658-post73.html (UPDATES - Working With HERMV3)

    Won't help for 3.42 games.

Well I say that but if for example an update gets released for Medal of Honor and we see a link for the debug verison, that in theory would open up more opportunities since the EBOOT.BIN wouldn't be encrypted.

This method needs tools from the SDK (unfself.exe and make_fself.exe) to modify the EBOOT files, so i'm not sure if posting modded EBOOT.BIN files is a good idea or not

masterchan777; Can you try again deleting ALL game data and just installing the untouched debug patch PKG via install package files in XMB then overwrite the EBOOT with the modded one?

I'm certain no retail patches are needed at all.

That's exactly what I did , and the game did not boot with the debug update ... had to install the retail update to make it to work ..

Exactly. But how long do you have to wait normally for debug updates, if they ever come to new games?

There must be a reason it worked for me first try but not for you
Did you rename the folder of the backup at all or is it still BLUS30491?

I guess debug updates are usually released before or at the same time with retail updates, however, getting the correct download links for these debug updates is another story ...
