Works just fine! Just for shits and giggles I even tried a game that had troubles before; Super Street Fighter 4. Worked perfectly, downloaded the latest update, patched, then ran just fine. All still on my Pretty Manager. So this modded Hermes v3 has all the benefits of standard Hermes v3, along with the new code fixes for allowing retail updates to download/install/run.

I don't think so. (I think that would be loading a register with a value)

Rancid(o)... did you compile your hex?
with this u should be able to update almost any game. i use OM1.16, if u want it pretty, use pretty manager or covermanager,..
I think Hermes was saying that the nop at 57408 was just for U2, and that other games would require different patches.

Anyway, the patch at 57410 is the one that seems to be working for a lot of games.

How could I get this as a payload for say an HTC G1/32B?

There is a filler before the .org that you need to remove (#.long 0). There is no need for a different filler (not one byte left before next .org now).
