Actually, I dont think this will work. I converted the asm to ascii. Which I dont think is correct..

ofc it wont work. first you need to dump you lv2, then load it in disassembler like IDA, and check code at 0x5745C, you will see how much this command really takes in hex, then you need to know how 'li %r31, 0' really looks like in hex, well, you can read some manuals, or just find this command in dump and take its hex code, then patch 0x5745C with it.
I know Mathieulh posted it on his twitter. I only say hermes will implement it because he was the first one to introduce payload that played games without a disc in the drive, and what mathieulh posted directly affects hermes payload in fixing the black screen error of some games. Not to mention that Hermes payload is the version that most people use. I know mathieulh has no desire to put in in psgroove but are you saying that hermes also has no desire to put the mathieulh patch in his payload???
sure he will try to update his payload with this it it can happen but i just wanted to make the point clear :)
COD4 is a no go for me, even with the retail update applied.
Shows the logo and then blackscreen. Tried internal, external, disc, no disc, loads of BM/OM mods etc. Nothing works. This is the only game I have which blackscreens.
Using the latest psgroove (retail patch).
Maybe my talk with him on Twitter last night made him think twice about his over harsh opinions regarding backups. :D
Could this theoretically make games like MoH which req. 3.42 work?
