Uncharted 3 Endless Loading Ring.... Please help me out.

Hopefully someone can help me here. I have Uncharted BCES01175. I downloaded this patch and ran it, then split the main file (pak23 psarc) into three files. Deleted the 3D movies and all languages except English as well. Went ahead and put it on my external hard drive, ran latest multiman and now I am stuck on the initial loading screen. The ring just keeps rotating around. What did I do wrong and what can I do to fix it?

I was told to check multiman's settings for payload/driver type at the setting on xmb mode and see if it set to "herms".if so change it to normal and reboot ur ps3 for changes take effect and check. I do not see this in multiman. Where do I find it? Is this the solution or is there something else I am missing?

If you want to play this game from external, i suggest you to extract the pak23.psarc using PSARC tool, not split it cuz sometime multiman caching big file doesn't works.

Can you fit it on the internal? With all the movies deleted its only like 30gb or less and I managed to get through the spinning ring to play the game when I moved it to internal. Also, what cfw and which patching fix tutorial did you use for the psarcs?
