Copied to my external then to my internal. Tried playing on both of them and during a match the game slows to like 10 FPS, incredibly slow and almost impossible to play.

Do I have a bad rip or is this usual? Any fixes if this is usual?

COD Modern Warfare, the first one, refuses to boot up as well.

Just downloaded a backup copy yesterday and mine works fine. Sucks that you need a code to play online though
