Hi everyone, well im trying to play red dead redemption off my external hard drive and i know it has a file that 6 gigabytes but multiMAN seems to already split the file into like 1 gigabyte files so it doesent seem to be a 4+ gigabyte problem , and ive been in the ps3 "scene" for like a month and first time i encounter a game with this problem so i need some help here (ive searched the forums and they all talk about splitting the file into smaller pieces but multiMAN already split them) so any help would be appreciated

    Thanks in advance Puregangster

    That is the problem...

You cant play splitted games from external.

That games must be in the internal HDD.

multiMAN splits the files into the external just for backup purposes.
    Tutorial for multiMAN: (All Versions)
    1. Start multiMAN (Dont need LV2 anymore)
    2. Choose your desired game on multiMAN.
    3. Mount the game with a click on X.
    4. Say NO to a start without going to XMB.
    5. Now you are on XMB. Click the disk/game icon and have fun.

MM only splits the files so you can transfer them to your external hdd just because ps3 uses something called fat32 which has a size cap on file it will transfer. If you think about it you'll wont be able to transfer the file to play off ur ext hdd but its and easy fix jus make sure u have enough space on the internal hdd and transfer it and play it off your internal hdd. So in short the filesplitter is just to get the file off your computer and on to an external (seeing how it is a legal back up on ur pc)

Will MM rejoin the files when you transfer it back to internal from external?

    Thanks.
