Is there any benefit to updating to 3.55 ?
I am currently on 3.41 using ps3key jailbreak with latest hermes payload.
I can run almost any game I want flawlessly with latest Gaia, and in some cases modified eboots ( GT5, NFS, etc..)
I have been reading as much as I can on here, but I have to tell you that it gets a little overwhelming trying to keep up.
As I understand things, a custom firmware for 3.55 is available, and it doesn't require the system to be jailbroken with the dongle, is that correct ?
It will allow newly signed pkgs to be installed, and homebrew can be run, but backup managers are still unable to load games ? Is this correct so far.
It also looks like you can now modify eboots to launch directly from the XMB. I'm not to sure on this last part, but doesn't this require alot of work, if you have many games, and doesn't it clutter up your xmb really fast ?
I am just wondering if there is any advantages to upgrading ( for the record, I'm holding off till all the dust settles ) or if this is more for thos unfortunate people that took the plunge too soon, and can't go back, or bought a system with 3.55 already on it ?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for any serious responses.
