Tekken 6 psarc file
This is weird. I'm reading that .psarc files (in my case, the one in Tekken) are 4GB+ files. I copied my Tekken 6 Asia Game Disc to the internal hdd of my ps3 and accessed the Tekken6 Game folder through FTP and noticed that the psarc file is only 511MB in size, what is wrong with this? Here is a pic for your reference:
i know for sure that psarc file is over 4GB coz i just backed it up a day ago. i had to split the backup, so that i can put it onto my FAT32 external and then MM joined the files while moving it to internal. if you have the original disk, rip it again or re-download it.
and if the game's working, stop worrying about it :)
Well, when I tried copying from PS3 internal to my PC through Windows FTP, it did came up that it is greater than 4GB. But I have a problem when using FlashFXP.
Using FlashFXP, I tried copying the whole "TEKKEN 6" folder under /dev_hdd0/GAMES/ to my local C: drive and surprisingly the total folder size of the one in my C: drive is 3.33GB only when the real total size (the one on the internal HDD of PS3) is around 11+ GB. Why the discrepancy? Here's a proof that the files on both systems don't have a matched filesize:
I'm confused why is this happening :(
looks pretty weird. however, like i said earlier, re-load or re-rip and see what happens. SPLIT4G is a program which is support by Multiman when joining 4 GB+ files while moving to internal. so use it to make smaller files, put it on external and then move it over to the internal
Wait, are you telling me that the internal HDD of the PS3 is formatted to NTFS making 4GB+ files stored in it without splitting?
I don't think I need to re-rip because copying from internal to external using Windows FTP gives me the correct 11+ GB total folder/file size. I think the problem is with FlashFXP or something. I don't know :( Can you try using FlashFXP for me to see if it produces the same?
yes. although I think that the internal HDD has a Sony proprietory format and it supports files bigger than 4GB.
