Switching Managers?

Currently I'm using OpenManager 1.17.2 because it just happened to be the version of a BUManager I chose. I've been using it for quite a while and it's suited me just fine. I have about 15 games on my internal HDD and everything is fine, but I'm considering switching over to Gaia manager and I'm worried about switching over.

Now I know I can just install Gaia and be done with it, but I don't want to have the extra OpenManager icons on my XMB. Same with one I had before from Rogero. I never use it anymore so I want to get rid of them, but I heard that if you uninstall a manager it wipes your GAMEZ folder. Is this true?

where are your games stored? full path..

The games are stored in hdd0/game/laun12345/GAMEZ

then u should be fine. U must have used Backup Manager at some point which is why your games are in hdd0/game/laun12345/GAMEZ. Open Manager installs into hdd0/game/OMANxxxx and gaia manager installs into hdd0/game/gaia01985. So if you were to uninstall open manager it shouldnt touch your games as your games are not located in the open manager program folder.

OK, im gonna try to remove them.... but if they are deleted I'm holding you personally responsible! :P j/k

Thanks for the help. Hell even if the games do get whacked all I gotta do is just re-upload so its realy no biggie. Thanks again.

Welp, I don't know for sure yet but I think I'll have to re-upload. I deleted Rogero's backup manager and it's taking a LOOOONG time to remove it so I think it's clearing the HDD.

Oh well, looks like I'll likely have several hours worth of FTPing to do.

EDIT: Yup, removing Regero's manager wiped all of my games. That's kind of an odd thing for these programs to do. Oh well.. time to get busy.

ooooo really!!! i had the backup manager, om, gaia manager and they all had the same directory which is laun12345/gamez. Good thing i didn't erase any of them.
