OK a lot of people are asking this question. I looked through the treads and no on has gave a step by step how to do this on any Back Manager.

    This is for Kmeaw's 3.55

Please don't ask about other games this is for Black Ops only.

I have tried for days on all backup managers a no go and a lot of others seem to be having issues.

If any on can provide ways they got it to work this would be great as many others like me have had nothing but problems.

    I'm on US BLUS30591

One time I got it loaded and it asked about 1.05 update I was told to hit O to cancel but the game doesn't load and on once it corrupted the data.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help and sorry mods if it was hidden in a thread I went back many days didn't see a step by step.

    1. Delete the game off your HDD
    2. Delete all game data for COD:BO w/ the game data utility
    3. Backup the game from disk (if you use a downloaded copy you can't verify that all the files are untouched and I won't support helping you).
    4. Load game with your BM. No direct boot. Needs a disk in the drive
    5. Select the disk icon in the XMB to load COD:BO
    6. Say yes to the update. If you want to play offline, make sure your PS3 isn't connected to the i-net before starting the game and it won't ask you for the update.
    7. Enjoy.

So you can't play the HD backup online then? boy I hope this is not the case as I have waisted a few days on this. I tried one other game and it backed up of the disc and loaded without it. Just want to protect my games. Bought 250.00 of games a couple of weeks ago and that was for 7 games some new titles and some old ones. Shit I haven't even opened all of them.

The manufacture should just code it that it will allow us to install and play the games on the HD like they do with some PC games. They could code it to read the PS3 Serial or Mac ID or both to prvent pirating but pirating is a part of the industry and this is why games cost so much as they build a persentage of the cost for piracy.

Re-rip the game from your original Black Ops disc and there are no problems

Sorry, had to clean up the thread from all the flaming. I don't like having to read it if I'm going to help.

Anyway, you can play the game just fine from the HDD and play it online. Did so for a couple of hours last night. Just got to make sure you've got a clean copy with no modified files and install the update if you want to play online. Also, you will need a PS3 disk in the drive to play. Doesn't work diskless.

Thanks for the clean up just want to get it to work and help others to get theres to work.

I did a clean start I have removed all backup managers and lv2 patches and I'm installing multiman 1.13

Is this the best one to use or I will take suggestions.

So no patching is required on my part?

Thanks again I support developers will continue to do so I think I'm upto over 400.00+ in games from dec & january.

I personally have all 3 installed. I've been staying away from the lv2 auto-patching ones though, as there still seems to be some instability. But, from what I've noticed, and have read, if a game doesn't work in one BM, it might work in another. Now, that doesn't mean that games that didn't work on 3.41 JB are all of a sudden going to work on 3.55 CFW though. MW2/MW1/Split Second all still don't work. PS Jailbreak Compatibility List - Home if you need a guide (not an end all, but a good place to start) on what will work / won't work.
