Some General info please.

Hello,

I have a playstation that has a blu ray problem. I decided to jailbreak it since it was unusable. I'm using the geohot jailbreak and the multiMAN XMB. I put a game in the /hdd_0/GAMES/ and I see it in the Games list. So I press X when it's selected and it askes me if I want to start the game, without exiting XMB. I've tried yes and no, both options do not work. It just takes me back to the sony xmb. I saw on youtube some guy that has a video of loading a game and he uses the blueray image to load the game after selecting it from the backup manager. Is it the same for multiMAN? Am I doing something wrong, because the blu ray image doesn't appear.

Multiman WILL NOT play backups on geohot 3.55 unless they are direct boot

use the 3.55 pkg's availble on this site for most games,alot of games work on geohots firmware with a little tweaking

I'm a noob just started doing this today. Can you help me out? What do you mean by tweaking? I'm going to look for some 3.55pkgs thanks.

you will need to place your back up in hhd0/games then install the pkg for that game ,it should then launch from the xmb

ok so I'm going to put Need for Speed Undercover in the /hdd_0/games/
and then I'm going to look on this site for a package for that backup. I know I'm getting irritating, but I have no idea how to look for a package. If I understand correctly a package is an executable, like the one that came with geohot's jailbreak to test if it was done correctly. But I don't know what I'm looking for. If it's not trouble can you find a random backup package on this site and post the link so I get a general idea. Thank you so much for being so helpful.

3.55 Downloads | Homebrew PS3 - Homebrew for your PS3 Homebrew find the pkg you want in that list download it, and copy to the ROOT of your usb drive then install it using the install packages option on the xmb just make sure you have the right version,BLUSxxxxxx for us games BLES xxxxxxx for eu games
