Skyrim on 3.55 - Non-TB - Graphics Incomplete Outside World

Hope this is the right place.

Was able to get Skyrim working with a eboot fix; it was a package with patch 3 and the fix. Game works but the outside world only is literally incomplete, the ground at times is a green mush and it looks like you are walking in water sort of. Does anyone else have this problem? Was this because I only applied patch 1.03? I figured the other two were included. Any advice?

Long time lurker...great site. Hope someone can help.

its not a problem the game is like that. I played for 1 hour and couldn't stand the frame problem, texture popping and crappy controls. it turns out the ps3 version is the worst of all the ports that's why it has so many patches to fix the "problems", but the real matter of it is the hardware. just get a PC and that will fix your "problem".

without the latest patches this game will be pretty much unplayable and there is no way to get the latest fixes on cfw , there is not much you can do atm.

damn, i was pretty excited to finally play this. looks like i'm gonna hold off for a bit.

i read 1.04 was a pretty good patch, so hopefully that can fixed soon.

a while back I ended up buying one of those jb2usb's

it was compatible with the true blue skyrim patch... however it was completely unplayable

I tried to use the tb update but it required tb 2.5 and that dongle was only 2.3

however later down the road I found a 1.4 patch on the scene and it ended up working

I just used the original tb update + that patch and it worked great...

Im thinking that 1.4 patch was encrypted with 3.6 keys and thats why it worked... but I really dont know

I will do some playing around here and see what works and what does not, i have another console that is on 3.55 w/o dongle (normal rebug)

but i mean... should give 1.4 a try... worst comes to worst you just delete the game data and start over

in my mind i think all tb 2.3 did was unlock the console to have 3.6 keys and then they made a firmware that just goes do I have this dongle in my usb drive and if I do i get 3.6 keys, if i dont then I get OFW... drm crap...

all of this is speculation, but I think we can get some more games going here that had updates that were mistakenly encrypted with lower keys.

The games works fine TB, even without a patch update. Admittedly I'm currently on 1.05, but it certainly didn't start that way. You may be coming across some error, but I don't see how the EBOOT could be causing this, unless they over-crunched some vital processing data when patching the EBOOT.

I have mine running on a 1.4 build without a dongle now

- playable
- textures are fine
- good as it will get on ps3
