Singstar : blank screen at the end of the song
Singstar : blank screen at the end of the song –
I've tries several singstar backup games on my PS3 and some of them are not working properly : blank screen at the end of the song.
Does anyone already met this issue and solved it?
I feel it could be the save of the score because I cannot find any directory for saved files like for other games. Is the directory name of the game important ?
Any help will be appreciated.
Did you get this problem sorted?

No the issue is not solved.
The blank screen is also sometimes at the beginning of the song or a freeze in the menu.
I have notice this bug also with my teensy plugged and loaded but playing with an original disc so the quality of the backup does not seems to be the origin. Same for the backup manager as in this case it is not used.
So it is probably linked to the PS groove release (PSGROOVe hermes V2 for me), Which one are you using ?
You are not alone guys..
Same shit here. (Tried both Hermes V3 & V4, with Open Backup manager 1.17.x by moh, and Open Backup manager 2.1e)
Singstar Pop edition
Singstar Take that
If I finish or exit a song, the screen goes black, it hangs. To quit the game I have to hard-shutdown the ps3 by unplugging the powercord.
But when I uninstalled the updates (5.0) the compability became better, some of them worked and some not.
SOLUTION: Run all the Singstar-games in "patched" mode, and everything works just fine! Even the updates (5.0) works fine in patched mode.

If I understand well (my english is poor), you achieve to play with all your singstar backups without dump ?
Can you explain me which update you have uninstalled ? the singstar updates ? (I don't see any on my PS3, I have just the package with the downloaded songs from singstore? I have probably already remove this update)
And finally what makes the game working is the use of the patch mode. Right ? I've tried with open manager the patch mode but get eboot.bin error. Is there a particular way to proceed.
Can you give the version of open manager you use to make the game working ?
Sorry for so much questions but singstars are the only backup that are not working for me...
Yes, I play the games from the internal harddrive. I don't have any downloaded songs, but I don't think that should cause any trouble.
Don't worry about the updates, Singstar works just fine with or without the updates (5.0). Yes, the only thing to do, is play the games in "patched" mode, wich you choose in the Backup Manager. That was the thing that fixed them all.
I use Hermes V4b, but I guess hermes V3 works as well. I also use Open Manager v2.1e http://psx-scene.com/forums/f6/open-...-v1-1-a-69246/
I don't know why you get the eboot.bin error, but try to search in the forums
What happens is you you use the PS2 disc swap feature of SingStar on a backup with original PS2 disc? Presumably nothing as the BDVD path has been changed, but maybe it's different for BD and DVD.
Correct, The swap with a PS2 disc does not work.
PS3KEY v4, open manager 2.1e
