Signed eboot packages do not work on 3.55 (they should)
WALL OF TEXT
Can somebody (who actually knows what they are talking about) please inform the rest of us (who clearly don't know what they're doing) why this wont work?
unself does NOT work for me, but ./unself does so let me explain my process through a game like FF13 for example.
I double click cygwin.bat, it opens up it's own command prompt
I already have the ps3 tools put in C:\cygwin\home\consume along with the EBOOT.BIN, so when the cmd opens up, i type in
./unself EBOOT.BIN EBOOT.ELF
I then get the required decrypted eboot file.
I then open up HxD and go to search > replace > search for "dev_bdvd" replace with "dev_bdvd"
While still in HxD i go back to search > replace > search for "PS3_GAME" replace with "FF3_GAME"
When i save it, hxd creates a .bak file, i delete this, because i won't be needing it.
So, now i go back to cmd, type in
./make_self_npdrm.exe EBOOT.ELF EBOOT.BIN UP0001-MRTC00003_00-0000000000000000 (16 0s)
I now get a reencrypted EBOOT.BIN, which i then place into a newly made subfolder called USRDIR within the MRTC00003 folder (that i have at C:\cygwin\home\consume\MRTC00003). I've also put in the image, sfo, dat and ant3 files outside the USRDIR folder.
At this point, i've also already created a MRTC00003.conf file with this inside :
Content-ID = UP0001-MRTC00003_00-0000000000000000
k_licensee = 0x00000000000000000000000000000000
DRM_Type = Free
Content_Type = Game_Exec
PackageVersion = 01.00
So, right after, i type in ./psn_package_npdrm.exe MRTC00003.conf MRTC00003
At this point, the cmd errors out and tells me that the sfo file is corrupt (even though i just pulled it from the bluray disc)
So here, i edit an existing sfo file (from my mgs4 disc), change the game id to MRTC00003 and change DG to HG
It makes the 3.41 ready package, and i have 3.55 so i then sign it with
It makes the package (10mb~) and i put it on my flash drive.
I open up multiman, and move the files within PS3_GAME to /dev_hdd0/FF3_GAME/, remembering to exclude the default eboot.bin.
I close multiman, install the package. It takes about 5 seconds and the install file is 10~mb.
I run the game, now on the XMB and get this :
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvecSxfVgYY]YouTube - Eboot problem[/ame]
So can somebody explain to me (and anyone else ripping their hair out over this) what's wrong?
Don't make me man cry guys...don't make me do it :cry:
