nobody?! let me be more descriptive, i typed this in another forum looking for answers:
Here is my story of my encounter with the dreaded RSOD and I survived to tell the tale:
I had DNF saved on an external HDD in the usual GAMES directory. I went to Multiman and selected DNF, I pressed Triangle to bring up the options and I seleceted update. MM then downloaded the 1.10 update package to my usb and redirected me to the XMB to then install. I believe the update was like 29 MB and when I went to install the package it started installing and it said the file size was only 1 KB and it hung up in the middle of the install and returned an error code, which i didnt write down (kicking myself now) and i think it was something like 8010200c (again this is not exact code, it did start 801 and end with a C), i then tried to install again and my system froze and i had to power off. I then went to MM and downloaded the update and did the whole process again, this time instead of freezing the screen went red (this is when i pissed my pants) and it said "A Serious Error Occurred, Please Contact Technical Support"
I powered it off by holding middle button and selecting turn system off. I waited a minute, i paced, i screamed at the heavens, and then i turned my ps3 on and everything was normal. Does anyone know what I did to my PS3?! Im scared I made her sick and she is going to die soon.

update: i just plugged my external hdd into my pc and looked at the file that multiman downloaded and it's only 1 kb!! And i watched the update download, it said 28 or 29 MB and it took aabout a minute to download so i thought the download went through legit.
So the red screen came from me trying to install a corrupted DNF update that came from Multiman's Game Update function. Why Multiman?! WHY?!
Is there a way to contact this Dean, its creator?
