Whenever I try to play Red Dead Redemption, the game starts up without a problem and asks if I want to update it. I always choose to not update and then instead of installing the game data, it says "Red Dead Redemption requires at least 516 MB additional hard drive space." I have run the retail disc(I'm only saying this because the .pkg version before backup managers worked said you needed to have done this) and I have gotten the backup to work from the .pkg before, but that doesn't work anymore either. Does anyone have any ideas?

Oh, and I've tried it with Gaia Manager, Rogero, and MM.

I received a similar message like that way back on 3.41 JB, but it was because I confused "direct boot" with discless booting. That message showed up when I tried to direct boot.

To check your available hard drive space, just fire up MM and see how much you have left.

I have no idea what you mean by "the .pkg version before backup managers". Afaik there was no way to run any backups, pkgs, ect.. before we had backup managers and a working JB.

Just fyi, RDR works fine with the latest patch and DLC, so there is no reason not clean up your install ( game data ). Then go ahead and install again and patch to latest version.

I know I have enough free space, I have 40 GB free.

By ".pkg version before backup managers" I meant booting it from the xmb on geohot's firmware after installing the package for it.

Well, I got this message one time.

I use MM and Last Game.

At another game, the first when I used Last Game, it did a quick Black Screen and came back to XMB, with the game mounted, and then I thought it only mounted the game without a need to enter multiman and all that.

Then, I used it again with Red Dead, and it really entered into the game, and gave me this error. Just exit and start it with disc.

    It should work.

The order of my error as described above:
Mounted at Disc (Working) > Last Game (Not enough memory) > Mounted at Disc (Working)

So, I got to make it work before the error, just to not lose hope.
