Could de mods please move this thread to the right place in case this is the wrong place? my Fat PS3 is on Kmeaw CFW 3.55, i got me a copy of RDR, and used the ebootfix utility that came with the multiman 1.13 to patch the eboot, i did everything it told me to, created the shadow copy of the game from the file manager in multiman, installed the packages the utility created etc... now when i try to boot the game it gives me the "not enough free space in the hard disk, At least 520MB of free space are needed" message and quits now checking the system information i have a 298GB hard disk on my ps3 and 254GB of free space i only have the FTP client, two managers and i have no game data on the system since i formated it and haven't installed anything yet not even RDR so what do i do now, been googling searched the forum i must be missing something because up untill now i cannot find a single article on it.
Im on Kmeaw CFW 3.55 with Rogero backup manager and first time I tried booting it up it told me it needs to fix a few files so I hit apply and it started up. Didnt need to mess around with anything.
I'm on Waninikoko's with Rogero but I doubt it will be much different. Like 10pmStalker, I just ftp'd over the game, opened it in Rogero, it asked me if I would like to repair EBOOT.BIN permissions, I said yes, and it ran first time. Delete the game folder from your PS3, send it over again and open it up in your BM. I haven't used MultiMan, but the way you are describing it with pkg files etc seems a lot of mucking around. Just make sure it is an unmodified EBOOT.BIN, let the BM repair the permissions for teh EBOOT and that should be you.
Ok, i'm gonna give Rogero's manager a go, see if it works. Thanks
Edit: here's what happened now, FTP'd the game to the ps3 again when i tryed to boot it with Rogero it did found a few corrupted files and it fixed them but when i boot the game it sends me back to the XMB i have a lv2 patcher on my ps3 should i run it first?

When it takes you back to xmb after you start the game from rogero you know that the game will be shown as a disk as if it were actually in the system right?
I used gaia to load my game and it works fine
Yeah i saw that, trying to boot the game from the XMB menu does the same thing, kicks me back to the XMB i'll see if i can get a clean untouched version of the game because i have a feeling this one i got might have been messed around with anyway i'm gonna try something else using the help you guys gave me. i wish i could rip from an original BLU-ray but with the damage lens i can't even do that.
If Rogero is finding corrupt files then I think that's your answer right there. Make another backup of the disc and see how it goes from there. Once you select the game in Rogero, you just goto your disc icon or the game folder 2 icons above it and run the game.
unfortunatly my blu ray disk is broken i currently own two ps3 the phat is the hacked one and the slim is the unmodded one, which i'm not planning to mod anytime soon because i play online and i don't feel like getting banned... and i cannot make a backup i got the game from the internet i figured that that might have been the issue, because when i read JB in the file's name i thought it might have been patched somehow for use with jailbreak, that was probably the issue since i was planning to buy the game either way to play online i guess that's what i'm goin to do, i guess i'll just delete this one. Thanks for the help guys.
Sorry for the short message above, was using my phone. I'll outline what I did:
I got a copy of Read Dead Redemption (BLUS30418) - I will not say where or how.
I got an EBOOT.BIN which was modified so that the game should be put in a specific folder on the hard drive.
I installed 2 backup managers on kmeaw firmware, Gaia and Rogero.
I created a folder called GAMEZ in dev_hdd0 and copied the game files from my PC using blackb0x and Filezilla. So the game folder was as follows:
I then opened Rogero and clicked the game. It asked if I wanted to fix the permissions (or something along these lines, can't remember exactly) and I clicked Yes. Then I went to the disc icon which now said Red Dead Redemption and the game worked fine. I skipped the update, but I asume that you can still play with the update.
