Do games that can't fit on a FAT32 Drive because some of the files are too large, play on the internal drive? I ask this because I have MLB 11 The Show, and there are like 2 ".WAD" files that are larger then the 4GB mark for FAT32, and wanted to know if it can be put on the internal drive, or is that formatted in FAT32 as well?

Would appreciate the insight on this? Sorry, I'm new to the whole PS3 Scene!

    Thanks!

Games that have 4GB+ files can only be played from internal.
You can ftp the game directly to your ps3 or you can use ps3 splitter to split the large files into parts, move them to your ext. HDD and then to internal and be sure to use multiman as your backup manager, because multiman will auto join the split files when moving from external to internal, and split them when moving from internal to external.

ps3 uses its own file system i believe its a modified linux file system. You need a program to split the large files if you want to move it onto internal with a fat32 external or you could ftp it from computer or you could set up multiman to read an ntfs external but you can only copy the game from the external to internal not load it from external

Alright thanks for the help! I'm getting the E3 Flasher to install, so basically it would be an internal drive.

Also, what's the best CFW to have for the system on 3.55? is the kmeaw the best one?

Would it be possible to play a game that has files larger than 4gb on the external if you split the file up? I read somewhere about how they move the large files into the internal and rebuild it using a cache system. How would this work?

Also, can PAL games be played on NTSC Systems? Like Backups of the PAL games?

And can you rename the pkg files for games, just to organize them on my computer, or does that mess up the install for them? Or are they even needed when using a loader like multiman?

    Thanks again!
