Hi guys, apologies if this is in the wrong section

I've stuck with 3.41 ofw using ps3break dongle up until now but i am considering going to hermes 3.41 cfw

If i upgrade to this will i lose the games and installed packages on my ps3??

It is an old phat type console btw

(I dont want to goto 3.55 yet, but like the idea of hermes)

Any feedback from those using it would be appreciated

    thankyou

I didn't lose anything when I went from dongle to hermes cfw3.41 but i did gain with..

No more messing about behind the back switching it off if it blackscreens etc.
Both usb ports. Feel spoilt by ability to use both! Can now have external plugged in play something whilst charging pad.
Switching on and off just by the pad. Ultimate in lazyness.
(Debatable) compatibility with just about everything so far in terms of discless (if thats your thing)

Also I had changed A LOT of eboots etc and had stuff which I really didnt fancy having to go through again. So FOR ME (ot everyone mind) it was the ideal upgrade.

If 3.60 keys aren't found then I'll more than likely stick with this.

The MAIN downside remember is that you cannt use updates for titles such as GT5 (usefull update 1.05) but other than that I PERSONALLY have found no other updates really worth considering.

Again this is my personal view but there are a lot of 3.41 user out there who are pretty content with it.

Glad to help. After all that's what we're all here for

DONT FORGET the latest bdemu2 package to install along with the latest multiman either!

It's fully compatible with hermes cfw3.41 and you run it ONCE then that's it. No need to even run the pkg each time you boot the ps3 up as you initially did with the hermes payload.

That alone will make you smile more than anything I reckon

bookmark this collection for all future reference as it's very very useful

    http://psx-scene.com/forums/f178/new...84/#post817024 (New Homebrew - PS3 Collection)

bdemu2 is installed INSTEAD of the hermes4d payload, You've no need for that after running bdemu2. As I said earlier you run that once and your done.4d payload needed to be run every time you restarted console.

BDemu2 is like setting up a direct debit. You do it once and then forget about it

Read the multiman thread regrding fix permissions. TBH in all this time Ive never used it so can't hep you there. I'm sure it does something though as people keep going on about it. I think it was maybe a little more important way back in the day

    What's this about BDEMU22 replacing Payload 4D ?

Sounds really handy but I can't get it to work.

I'm using 3.41 cfw hermes - install BDEMU2 but Multiman just starts normally but displays a warning about no BlueRay emulation.

If I exist and rerun Payload 4D it works as normal.

Any idea if you can remove the need to run payload 4d?

Make sure you are running the very latest multiman for bdemu2 to work.

No need for payload 4d after that.
