PSN Pkg and updates (Little Big Planet)
PSN Pkg and updates (Little Big Planet) –

Hi all,
I've been out of the loop for the last while in terms of backups, and have noticed the lovely method of playing backups via a pkg file. For reference I am on a slim ps3 with 3.55 kmeaw.
I would like to know if there is a way to update the games that you have backed up. So far I have installed the LBP 3.55 pkg, copied Little Big Planet GOTY USRDIR into the hdd0/game directory, and then replaced the eboot.bin that was present in the original pkg. Thus I have successfully loaded LBP directly from the XMB. However, once I start it (having an ethernet connection) it prompts me for 1.30 update which I allowed, and then it fails and the pkg is gone. Is there a method to get the latest (or any) update onto such a method of backups? Thanks!

Unpack the .pkg and copy the contents to USRDIR - unless its NPDRM protected
