Well I dont give a **** about copied gamez anyway, so I will stick with BM1.0.
WHAT I WANT IS HOMEBREWZ & EMULATORZ & MEDIA PLAYERZ & SHIT!
So, what stops us (the scene and the hackers) stealing it back?

Can't it be redone with V1.1?
Turn this "Expensive Bullshit" to "Free Open Source"?
It is just a "Manager1-1.pkg" for God's sake.....
Except if it will alter the way the exploit works. I remembered the NTFS support and the ALL FIRMWARES features. This is more than just an .pkg file. Right?
But once again, can't Mathieulh and the others copy/recreate/steal/whatever it?

Reason: Thought again!
I see no reason to get worked up over this either way. Until there's a file to download, it doesn't even objectively exist. When/if there is, we will see what it does. And why the heated name-calling over this thing that we don't even know is real. I'll give you all credit, not even Shakespeare managed to make this "Much Ado About Nothing"
There are only two reasons you would possibly need to re-rip your games. The first being ISO support. The second is purely artificial -- the adding of encryption to the files, such as xoring or otherwise encrypting the EBOOT.BIN file. Either is unlikely, especially the second though, since it's bad PR putting your paying customers through an extra hassle, it would be a bad business decision. I would welcome .iso support even though the overall size would be slightly bigger (until they add compression support), because many games contain a bunch of tiny files that slow the transfer process down considerably. Then again, a SAMBA server could solve that issue, because then you could rar in store mode, transfer, and unrar. Since they are big files, an option to split the ISOs into something resembling the old .gi format for external drives would be needed as well. I just don't think they've had enough time to implement anything that elaborate, though. So, this particular rumor that seems to have most people up in arms is most likely total BS. You're working yourselves up over NOTHING (especially since this doesn't even exist yet, not that getting worked up over it would change anything even if it did exist).
Think, people, it's not like BM does anything special to the game. The PS3's OS automatically decrypts games and movies so it can play them, ask anyone who's ever FTPed a game or movie straight from the disc, the backup works (and for the same reason FTPing an Xbox game from an Xbox works -- the console has already unlocked it for the purpose of playing it). We have the complete unencrypted files, you can't improve on that. Only the MAME people would (and do) argue for preserving encryption, but if they would just release an encrypting app or EEPROM programming app that encrypts CPS2 data on the fly, then we could stick to archiving actual game data instead of garbled crap. Who keeps encrypted Turbografx ROMs laying around? They're nothing but bad dumps where someone failed to use a converter with their Griffin. The Griffin wants them in decrypted form anyway (and needs the voltage check hack as well, a one byte anti-importing measure there's also no logical reason to preserve), and all flash cart apps convert on-the-fly. The point is, the games are already in their natural form, as they appear to the machine, so there's no such thing as a more accurate rip. Worst case scenario -- you'll have to perform some superficial conversion until someone reverse engineers the app completely. But we don't even know if this is real news, so, enough of this name-calling craziness, everyone just CTFD already.
Why am I seeing so many of these discussions degenerate into an "I buy my games, I'm better than you" argument? This is silly. I'm certain most of the people here buy the games they like, as their budget allows, because we all realize that no one works for free, and we like having something that's genuinely collectible. I'm equally certain that most people here have played games without compensating the developer at some point. Whether you downloaded it, borrowed it from a friend, or bought it used, the developer didn't get a dime from you. So you can stop acting like you're a "better person" just because you buy used games at Gamestop instead of downloading from torrents. You've screwed the developer over just as hard, and you did it AFTER you decided the game was worth buying, instead of BEFORE, so that makes you worse I hope this won't be taken too seriously, but I've noticed way too much "anti-piracy" rhetoric in this thread, so I felt the need to make a counterpoint. Obviously, I don't really think any of this is wrong. All forms of fair use theoretically cause a loss of revenue. Can Sony sue Gamestop just because they're losing money because of used game sales though? No, a judge would throw that out. Competition causes loss of revenue too. But you don't see Square Enix suing Atlas because 3D Dot Game Heroes might have cost them some Final Fantasy XIII sales. So-called piracy is really a non-issue, just like these rumors. A good game sells well in spite of the fact people are getting free copies, and a bad game still flops in spite of the free advertising. Though the free advertising aspect does appear to be the one with the greatest effect. Which is the reason many bands would not even be around today if it wasn't for so-called piracy. Perhaps the greatest irony is that one of those is Metallica. If the negative impact of the free handout wasn't greatly surpassed by the positive impact of the free advertising, this would not be the case. If I ever release an album, please do me the favor of "robbing me blind and making me walk the plank" -- my band needs the publicity that only you "thieves" can give it
Why is ntfs support a nonsense? FS support is Lv-2 according to Sony's docs.
