I've created a cool tool to help those who can't remember the Game ID of their games. it loops through all directory of a selected path, and returns a list of all games found, and their details (GameID, Game Name and version).

This is the first version of this tool. Version 1.1 will feature showing the actual path of the game, showing available updates for each game, so you can download them through your computer instead of your console, and "Export as text file" feature.

Huge props go to TiMESPLiNTER, a member in this forum, I converted his java code for reading SFO Files to C#. Amazing job mate

    Requires .NET Framework 3.0

Download link: Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: PS3GameDetector.rar

    Enjoy !

Does it check via param.sfo only or does it also check eboot.bin?

Param.sfo file. Why would I want to check EBOOT.BIN? unless you're using a different region EBOOT.BIN (3.41 FW)?

Assuming no one really saw the post late night, I'm hoping you will see it now (or you just don't need it, in that case, the thread will fall down again, and be gone).

    Nice try.

I usually open the param.sfo file in total commander and check the second last string.

Didn't understand what you were trying to say by "nice try."
Anyway, I'm going to implement my own version of update finder so you can download all of your game updates at once
