ps3 slim killzone3 wont detect my external drive

as the title said it just wont show up but when i plug it into my ps3 phat it does show up i been searching some stuff about it and i now deleted all partitions and reformatting to fat32 (the slow way *yawn*) but from what i have read people said it wouldnt solve the problem anyway

name of hdd : WDC WD 16 00BEVS-22UST0 USB Device (149GB)
ill edit this post when i format the disk entirely but its unlikely to solve it if what other people posted on inet is accurate

BC Killzone 3 wont work on external bc it has a file over 4GB ...

not tryin it for k3 anyway (price of persia) but the prob is my hdd doesnt show up ...

If the hdd has USB 3.0 only phat ps3s will recognise it.Slims only recognise usb 2.0

i seriously doubt it i bought this hdd like 2 - 3 years ago it was in ntfs b4 and i was unable to put it to fat32 so im doing it with fat32formatter now + deleted all partitions people have done this b4 and still didnt manage to get it to work i hope im not 1 of them

problem solved you can delete or lock this topic

so if anyone has this same problem just delete all partitions with fat32farmatter and do a slow (maybe quick is also good enough) format to fat32

no offence, but a careful search would have probably helped, and also next time, dont forget to mention important things, like the extra partitions.
glad its working tho, just more info next time.

EDIT: and wtf ? the info needed is clearly in top post too like the partitions u mentioned ... whats your goal 1000 posts or helping ppl lol i been around these forums for not even a week and i see u answering nearly every post even if you dont have anything useful to say lol no offence just dont like ppl giving criticism while they are the ones that should be criticized (or however iits spelled what can i say im not english lol)

point out where he helped me(was solved) i just see him posting about everywhere to raise his posts tbh i dont care but when he crticizes ppl thats different
