Hi All,
Can anyone please help me...
I have just turned on my PS3 and I get the following.
"The Hard Disk's file system is currupted and will be restored"
I hit OK and then I get the following
"error has occured during the opperation, the hard disk must be formated"
"All data will be lost durng formating"
"Do you want to format"
I DEFINATLY dont want to format it - any ideas?

Its not only that its the 500GB of games.

Stop playing diskless, directboot, using bms with lv2 patch built in, and hard shutting off your console. As for the current state of your hdd, you can try the different options in recovery, but you'll probably end up formatting.

Tried Recovery Mode still no joy (its still asking me to format)
I even tried taking the internal HDD out and connecting it through USB (with my original HDD back inside) and it doesnt recognise the drive.
I take it I am screwed

Just formated and started over Ahhhhhh!
Is there a way to backup your saves as it seams only a few games let you.
What part of the HDD are the files stored, maybe I can copy them over the FTP?
