PS3 Games from DVD-R

I have heard you can play PS3 games off DVD-R (yea, i know most games are too big, but its just a feature that's nice to have available for smaller games)….but I have heard it's ONLY for (RDX?) Backup Manager…well, alot of people seem to have steered away from Backup Manager and using programs like Open Manager or Gaia (I use Gaia all the time). It seems like there would be a way to play PS3 games off DVD-R using Open Manager or Gaia….I don't guess this has been made possible yet? or am I missing something?

Being that dvd disc cost like 15-20 cents each...

why don't ya just burn a game and see for
yourself if it works ??

I have burned a game, two discs actually, one with just the PS3_DISC.SFB, PS3_GAME, PS3_UPDATE and one with the folder and those files…tried it and it didn't work…what I was wanting to know is if there is any sucess on other backup Managers since i dont use the actual "backup manager" app…like if using another PayLoad would fix it? or using another manager other than Gaia like Open Manager or the one that has the patches

0does not work as ps3 sees it as data disc not game disc

so no matter wat u do with the disc burned or not will return error

maybe the disc is in some other format... googling took me to posts about BRDGen
