PS2 games off the internal HDD???
PS2 games off the internal HDD??? –
I have a jailbroken PS3 running multiman, and as I know it's clearly obvious you can run PS3 backups off the internal HDD, I was wondering if you can rip PS2 games such as NFL Street to the PS3 harddrive and play them through multiman?
I am running the 80GB Phat PS3. I have googled this but I cant find a direct answer other than "NO YOU CANT DO THAT SONY WOULDNT ALLOW IT"
Apparently with the new Cobra USB dongle you'll be able to as long as you have a PS3 that can play PS2 games already.
You can do it with the Cobra USB, but some backups crashed for me.. Devil May Cry on JAP and Forbidden Siren 2. You can only play PS2 backups through th Cobra USB manager. Also, you must make sure that your system can play PS2 games normally as there are models that the Cobra FW will try to 'Emulate' the PS2 hardware, but according to the Cobra team, it doesn't work very well at this stage. Multiman had an experiment in there on 01.12 I think it was, but it got taken out.

If you go to the official Cobra USB website www cobra-usb com (putting the dots in of course), grab the user guide 3.00 it will explain everything a lot better what you can do with it!!
Hope this helps somewhat.
Ahh, so this cannot be done without purchasing additional hardware... oh well. Thanks for the replies guys, glad to see some people can take the time to help out the new guy with only a few posts!
