Problems with Star Ocean: The Last Hope
Problems with Star Ocean: The Last Hope –
Cannot launch game. After installing i've got purple screen...but ps3 isn't freezing, i can exit to XMB and try again, and see the purple screen again, after checking trophies and game data. I've tried Gaia 1.03.1, Gaia 1.04.1, BM 1.0, multiman 1.10, and Open manager 1.17. Also, i re-installed game, nothing new... I've looked for updates, but awesome update finder has no patches for MRTC00001. I've got Hermes 4vb
You backup this game to internal? Also, what payload are you using?
[lang=de]Yes, im using only internal hdd. Hermes 4vb[/lang]
Maybe a bad rip of the game? It's been reported as working and even diskless if you're using Hermes. Are you loading with a disk or without?
I'm loading it with disk. I've tried direct boot with Gaia and multiman - got black screen and freezing. I've already thought about bad rip, but i've managed install game, doesnt it mean that i've got working rip? There are no reports about not working, on torrent tracker where i've downloaded it, same about working, by the way
Could be that it didn't FTP all right to the internal drive. Just to make sure, I'd delete it and then FTP it back over via Blackb0x FTP server w/ FlashFXP and make sure your thread count is set to 1. If you have the disk, I'd just try reripping it. What you're saying is happening sounds like a bad rip/transfer to me. Also, never use direct boot. It only works with about 10% of the games and w/ EA games it has a tendency to corrupt your HDD (same goes for diskless booting of EA games).
I will re-download the game, and try again. Already had similar problem with Uncharted 2(that famous black screen with knife) and re-writting helped. By the way, im using ps3 ftp server 1.0 and x-filezilla on PC. I dont use direct boot, have no problems with disc in bd-rom))) And i didnt understand this part "and make sure your thread count is set to 1", sorry im not native english speaker. Thx for warning about direct boot.
In your FTP software on your PC, make sure you have it set to one connection or thread. If your FTP client connects more then once, the FTP server software will freak out and can cause a bad transfer.
i think i've got it, thank you. I will report when i try new rip
I've re-downloaded game from the same source and now it's working) Thanks a lot)
